Advice Process - Skills Assessment – Role Plays
There are six steps generally seen as the basis of the financial planning advisory process. This advisory process however, first requires an advisor to ‘establish a relationship with client’ prior to any of these 6 steps are undertaken. A client’s relevant personal circumstances be determined prior to the delivery of any financial advice.
The six steps in the financial advice process are:
- Collect financial information
- Identify Client goals and objectives for advice
- Identify financial issues
- Prepare and Present Plan to negotiate and confirm
- Co-ordinate and Implement agreed Plan
- Review, revise and maintain the client’s Plan
